 In Press Release

Lansing – House Democratic Leader, Rep. Christine Greig, issued the following statement on behalf of Michigan House Democrats on the submitted petitions to recall Rep. Larry Inman (R-Williamsburg),  the Grand Traverse County State Representative facing trial for attempted extortion, soliciting bribes, and lying to the FBI:

“It is a privilege to serve as a State Representative, and Rep. Inman has rejected that honor. Since being indicted in May, Inman has missed over three months of work and over 100 votes, and people across Grand Traverse County have had enough. Hundreds of voters called for his resignation, thousands have called for a recall, and the courts may very well reach the same conclusion next month. Rep. Inman’s refusal to step aside is an insult to the people of the 104th and a burden on every Michigan taxpayer. His time in the Michigan State Legislature must come to an end.”
